MetroBackUp provides a simple, but effective data backup solution. Its main purpose is to synchronize folders. You only need to go through a few simple preparations to make any two folders identical. The application supports more than one synchronization mode and it works quite fast, regardless of which one you choose.

You can use MetroBackUp on any modern Windows version. The software is free and it can be installed in no time, without making any complicated settings. It doesn't have any special requirements and you don't need to sacrifice too many resources to run it.

The user interface has a modern, Windows Metro-inspired theme and a very efficient layout. The software lets you create multiple synchronization jobs and you can organize them in one or more job lists. You can target one source and one destination for each synchronization job and execute an entire job list at once.

Specifying a source and a destination is sufficient to define a synchronization job. Additionally, you can set up a file filter, set the application to include sub-folders and choose a synchronization mode. Besides the standard mirroring mode, you can also choose a mirroring mode which doesn't overwrite files. The third option is to synchronize the targeted folders in both directions.

With MetroBackUp's straightforward and efficient functionality, creating backup copies of important data can be done in just a few seconds, with a single click.

Pros

MetroBackUp supports three synchronization modes. You can run several synchronization jobs with a single click. The application lets you organize jobs in multiple lists.

Cons

A scheduling feature would be a welcomed addition.
